Furthermore, specialist advice regarding Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention is available.
Our experienced health professionals put your individual needs first. We are proud to provide a high quality service, with years of clinical experience, and commitment to health and wellbeing to all our patients. Our goal is to help you or your family member achieve their maximum level independence and quality of life.
The Diversity Hub follows the NICE guidance for assessment of adults and young people who are suspected of having ASD or ADHD. Assessments include the use of ‘gold standard’ diagnostic tools including, the ADI-R, ADOS-2, and DIVA-5. Sensory processing screening can be offered using the ASH, SPM and Ayres Structured Clinical Observations.
We strive to help you improve your quality of life and through client centred working at the heart of our services we will keep you informed every step of the way. We will only offer assessments where it is clear that you or your family member really requires this.
Assessments, including diagnostic assessments are offered either via video consultation or face to face appointments.
For ASD and ADHD diagnostic assessments, evidence is collated from a number or sources where possible and discussed with another health professional, to ensure an multi-disciplinary team (MDT) diagnostic approach is used, as recommended in NICE guidance.
The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5th Edition (DSM-5) (American Psychiatric Association, 2013) criteria is used to make the diagnostic decision regarding ASD or ADHD.
